We had a cold wet winter (well, cold for the 909) which translated into beautiful daffodils. With the roses pruned and hardly even any weeds growing the daffodils really brought a bright spot to the garden. Now they are followed by iris but the tulips that came up have not bloomed. Gardening remains a mystery . . . or an ongoing science project.
