Rocks

Here in the 909 we live on an alluvial fan below a mountain. Over the years I have harvested a huge crop of rocks. On Friday a football-sized rock was dug up while planting lavender. What to do with these so-called river rocks? Not far away is a street of old homes built from rocks. Buckets full of rocks were transported to a cousin's house in the 626 to fill a new courtyard. Now I am stuck with any newly unearthed rocks and must find a home for them in the garden. A few border a recently dug flowerbed in the front yard while this pile remains in the garden as a mini-Stonehenge.
