Yesterday I puttered pulling some weeds and replanting a couple of potted South African heathers that I bought at Valentine's Day. They should do well in this climate. While I planted one of them I thought I saw something on the dwarf lemon and took a closer look. It was a blossom. At the start of its 5th season there are two little blossoms on the lemon tree, the first ever since I planted the two trees. And for the first season the leaves look much healthier. There are often surprises in the garden.
